53cm x 53cm (framed) Acrylic spray paint and acrylic paint on canvas.

This is a fashion tartan first seen in a kilt makers in Inverness, in 1983. The designer is not specified.

The brown elements of the design represents the natural shingle shoreline of Loch Ness. This tartan’s colours evoke the dark, mystical waters of Scotland’s most famous loch.

This is the first painting of a tartan with wavy lines that I have created. These lines are representative of the Loch Ness monster’s long winding neck, or even the current of the water in the Loch.

This painting is part of the tartan series.
